I am a great example of what belonging to a Toastmasters club can do for you. Since becoming a Toastmaster I have undertaken many projects on behalf of my clubs and in my outside life as well.

Toastmasters has given me the confidence to take on leadership roles and undertake projects I would never have thought possible before I joined.

Of course, I have also honed my public speaking skills, but in a way, the leadership opportunities are what have given me the confidence to live my life to the fullest.

When not walking in the countryside, singing in two choirs, or helping out at our local windmill, I travel to visit friends and family. My grandchildren are in Singapore, so I spend a fair bit of time with my son and family over there.

Although of retirement age, I am still an active translator of business documents from German into English for a number of European clients.
