Meeting President

This role is usually performed by the Club President. However, if they will be absent, they will appoint someone to stand-in for them.

This is an important role. Please note, however, that brevity is your friend as time will certainly get away from you if you are not aware. If you need more time for this role, please inform the VPE and they will alter the agenda accordingly.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President's role is to:

  • Greet members and guests.

  • Introduce guests.

  • Handle club business.

  • Introduce the Toastmaster.

At the end of the meeting, the President's role is to:

  • Announce the next meeting.

  • Make general announcements of importance to the members.

  • Provide recognition where appropriate.

  • Asks guests for feedback.

  • Close the meeting.
